Difference between diamond and brilliant

The stone that was born under the incredible power of the Earth is a diamond. And a diamond that has passed through the grinder's hand, and which is truly brilliantly sparkling, cannot be anything but a brilliant.

The stone that was born under the incredible power of the Earth is a diamond. And a diamond that has passed through the grinder's hand, and which is truly brilliantly sparkling, cannot be anything but a brilliant. And indeed - the diamond got its name according to the French word "shining" or "bright".

Not every cut diamond has the right to be a brilliant. His cut (so-called brilliant cut) has clear rules. The world respects them roughly since 1910, but Marcel Tolkowski is considered the author of the modern brilliant cut, which was 7 years later able to calculate the ideal slope of the facet angles. The ideal diamond cut has 57 facets, or facets, divided as follows: One upper facet whereby the whole cut begins, 32 upper facets and 24 facets at the bottom. This shape ensures that light passing through the diamond is reflected in the best possible color spectrum and maximum intensity.

At Inbar Diamond Center, we are looking for the perfect diamond cut. That makes our specials so special!

That's why our motto is Life is brilliant!
